France and Allies Intercept Russian 'Shadow Fleet' Oil Tanker
France, with UK support, intercepted the sanctioned Russian oil tanker Tagor in the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday, the fourth such French boarding of a suspected shadow fleet vessel since September. President Macron announced the seizure publicly, as Western nations step up enforcement against Russian oil exports financing the war in Ukraine. Russia simultaneously banned jet fuel exports following Ukrainian strikes on its refineries.
