Israel Escalates Operations in Lebanon, Threatens Beirut Strikes
Israel has seized the historic Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon and Netanyahu has ordered strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs, triggering mass displacement from the Lebanese capital. The EU, Iran, and international actors have called on Israel to halt its military escalation, while Hezbollah continues rocket attacks including on Israeli towns. The conflict is intensifying despite an earlier ceasefire framework.
