Regulators and courts curb AI use in pricing, hiring and autonomy
Maryland became the first US state to ban AI-driven 'surveillance pricing' in grocery stores, with several other states considering similar bills. A Chinese court ruled companies cannot fire workers solely to replace them with AI, while California will start ticketing driverless cars for traffic violations and a US court fined Tesla over FSD claims.
